We are seeking - Adventure Tour Guides for the Lower 48!

This is a demanding, exciting, challenging, and rewarding position that requires people who have a passion for the outdoors both on and off the road.

We are looking for that "X" factor in guides - who are not afraid to work hard, share their knowledge and have a consistent stream of learning in various locations throughout North America.

Our Mission Statement

Bindlestiff Tours is an adventure tour company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. We focus on delivering our guests a high level of area knowledge and guides are required to deliver in depth geology, history, flora & fauna commentary through headsets throughout the tour. We feel bringing people to something so beautiful gives us the ability to help others connect with something greater.

We specialize in single & multi-day tours in our national parks and beyond. We pride ourselves on having knowledgeable, down-to-earth tour guides & our experience in the industry allows us to create the absolute best itineraries! One of our main goals is to surround ourselves with great people who love to share their passion for the outdoors with others!

Awesome Co-Workers

Right through the whole company, from the ownership to the office staff, to the guides and out on the road with our suppliers and vendors, communication, compassion, understanding and support are vital to everyone's success in this industry. We've had years of experience at all different roles through the industry so we know how to support our crew. That being said, we do expect a lot from our staff and every position in the company has a major responsibility to be safe and trustworthy, and having a good solid work ethic and follow-through for every assignment you take on is key.

Handpicked Adventures

We're in love with our tours, our guests rave about them, and our guides have a blast leading them. Having a background guiding tours ourselves mixed with years of working with customers to customize special, one-off tours, we know what works, and we aren't afraid to get creative when it comes to building our trips. Over the years we've learned a lot and continue to expand our offerings. How does this translate to our guides? Well, there's never a dull moment. That also shows through to our guests. If we have happy, stimulated guides, we have satisfied guests that just can't help but talk about their 'tour of a lifetime' when they return home from their trip...and often while they're still on it! It can be one of the most rewarding feelings in the world when you hear those words from your guests!

Housing

Yes, accommodation is available for guides.

Bindlestiff Tours covers your accommodation when out on tour. While you're back in Vegas, there is a bunkhouse on base, free of cost. Many of our guides are local, or once hired, they'll often meet up with other like-minded guides and secure seasonal, shared accommodation here in Las Vegas together - if they choose.

If you don't already live in Las Vegas, we'll discuss your availability to start and options for your travel to the city. While some people would fly out, many of our guides drive their own vehicles.

Compensation:

Wages are per trip and can vary depending on experience as well as individual tour guide availability. Due to the fact that tipping and commissions are a known part of the industry, some of our experienced guides earn as much as $600 per day, including tips. Our base rates per day range from $145 to $205 per day - consummate experience, years in the industry/field and destination knowledge plus stipends and food allowances available for certain tours that require a higher level of service and knowledge.

We offer a seasonal bonus package as well, which we can discuss in more detail during the interview process. It is based on demonstration of responsibility and tasks at hand during the season.

We are looking for full time guides (April - Nov).

Full time guides receive preference to start dates, and potential regions - if qualified. We may have a part-time opportunity available for the right candidates, coming in with prior guiding experience and ELD/ Log book training.
